Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have been around horses my entire life working across multiple disciplines, both producing and competing horses and ponies. I Mainly specialise in Show Jumping having produced and competed horses up to 1.30m with wins and placings. I also have experience in Hunting (Huntsman’s groom/rider), Eventing (ridden to 95cm), Flat/Showing (rider), Show Hunter (rider), and Thoroughbred Track work rider (experience with gallops, young horses and breaking).
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
Having worked across many disciplines I have developed many skills, mainly ridden skills but can also plait, clip, lunge, show turnout, etc.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy getting to know the horses and working with them both riding and on the ground, especially when they hit milestones in their development.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Overall I would like to continue to expand my knowledge and experience with horses but also explore the international circuit and see how things work on that next level.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am a hard worker who always aims to please, have a positive can do attitude and am always looking to learn new experiences.
