Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
Grew up alongside Franche-Montagne and Lusitanian breeding studs, assisting with daily care of foals and broodmares, yard maintenance, and equipment. Classically trained rider (Galop 5), with experience riding sensitive and young horses, including long-distance hacking as part of structured exercise routines. One year working with a difficult ex-racing Arab horse alongside a certified trainer.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
Physically strong, reliable, and accustomed to full stable routines and demanding outdoor work. Used to work as a teacher, so patient and happy around children and teenagers.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Taking care of demanding horses, build trust, participate to and witness their evolution.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Confidence in the saddle with unbroken or newly broken horses.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I’m low-drama, resistant and quiet. I follow instructions and I take the initiative only when I have been allowed to. I focused on teaching karate and training for combat competition for the past years, so I’m used to discomfort, stress and getting the work done no matter what.
