• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I would like my next job to help me grow more as a groom by gaining more experience in all aspects of horse care and yard work. I am passionate about horse welfare and enjoy being part of a team that takes pride in keeping horses healthy, happy, and well cared for. I’m excited to learn and to improve my skills and to be a reliable, hard working member of the yard.

Experience with Horses

I have worked for 3 years at a event/ livery yard  where I did level 3 equine groom along side working there. while there I did all the basic yard duties and riding. Since then I have done some freelance work at a stud and showing yard. as well as being at Hartpury university and having my own horse with me at university.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc…

I am confident at riding a range of different horses from bringing youngsters into work and fit competition horses to happy hackers.

I enjoy and confident at plaiting, trimming manes and tails, clipping and prepping the horse ready for competition.

I am all confident at Communication with clients, vets, farriers and other professionals that would come and see the horses.

I like how rewarding they can be, and enjoy teaching them new skills. As well as learning new techniques with the horse’s

I would like to improve my ability to so away to shows with horses and being a competition groom.
