• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I would like to continue to broaden my knowledge within the equine industry and gain new skills which I do not already possess. I would like the opportunity to progress and work my way up the ladder.

I have one working labrador who is crate trained and very well behaved and is used to being left alone for several hours without causing problems.

Experience with Horses
I have been around horses since I was a little girl, I have experience with a few different sectors of the equine industry with different job titles. I am used to handling young, fit horses and also have riding experience.
Key Skills
Dealing with animals up to the value of £4 million, ensuring care and professionalism is always a
high priority.
• Handling of mares and foals ensuring the safety of the animals and members of staff alike.
• Assist with coverings and maintain control over mares and stallions
• Health checking all ages of horses daily.
• Daily turnout into pastures.
• Mucking out
• Preparing feeds / supplement mixing and distribution according to schedule.
• Catching in and rugging.
• Assisting veterinarian with injections, minor operations, dental work and end of life care.
• Hand walking yearlings and foals for sale preparation.
• Preparation of horses for sales, including main pulling, plaiting clipping.
• Driving the yard tractor, manoeuvring into position.
• Handling young, fit horses.
• Helping with groundwork for breaking and backing yearlings.
• Taking charge of the yard day to day, delegating tasks to appropriate members of staff.
• Running my own yard which hold the stallions, capability of being able to complete tasks alone.
• Being a stallion handler.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy being able to get to know different horses personalities and being able to bond with them and love them as if they are my own. I have been around horses since I was little and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’m always eager to learn and broaden my knowledge and love the chance to pick up new skills, I’d like the oppertunity to improve my clipping and turnout skills.

I am a hard-working and relaible person who always puts in the maximum effort to ensure the job is done correctly. I take pride in my work and am always seeking ways to improve. I am a quick learner and efficient in what I do with the ability to work alone or alongside a team.
