My name is Ella, I am 25 years old and I have worked professionally with horses since starting my apprenticeship at 16. Over the past nine years I have built my experience through competition yards and by running my own livery business, MB Equestrian. At its peak I managed over 15 horses, initially alongside a business partner and later independently when I took over full responsibility for the yard. This involved managing staff, organising liveries, maintaining high standards of care and overseeing the day to day running of the business.
I am very confident working sole charge and take pride in keeping a yard organised, professional and running smoothly. I have competed and produced horses across disciplines, including jumping Foxhunters at Hickstead and competing at Wales and West Showground, as well as competing dressage to PSG level and training towards Grand Prix. I have backed and produced young horses and raised and produced my own foal, which has given me a strong understanding of correct training and long term development.
Through running my yard I supported riders of all ages and abilities, teaching regularly and helping young riders progress through Pony Club, camps, competitions and starting their BS careers. I am confident teaching all levels and enjoy helping riders build confidence while maintaining structure and discipline. I am organised, calm under pressure and take horse welfare very seriously. I am now looking for a long term position within a professional equestrian environment where I can continue producing horses, supporting riders and contributing fully to a well run yard.
