Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have owned and ridden horses since I was very young. I attended an agricultural college to study equine management. I have worked at a vets which tought me resilience, hard work and team work. At the private yard I worked for after this I worked mostly on my own, so I am good at taking some charge. I dealt with difficult competition horses during this role, but I worked closely with the family. I am now cabin crew but looking to get back into working with horses as that’s my passion.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am very good at working alone, as well as in a team. I am very adaptable and easy going and a fun person to work with. I am good and experienced at clipping and turning out to a high standard. I am competent at lunging and riding / exercising horses. I am confident riding alone, like out hacking.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

Being able to look after and be with horses all the time. Even if they are not my own, I look after them as if they are!

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I am always looking to further my knowledge and provide the best level of care possible .

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I am experienced, motivated, a great team player and just a generally good person to have around. I work hard and do a high standard. I am very reliable and respectful.
