Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

For the last 10 years I have worked with young horses taking them to FEI shows, grooming at home for them.
Doing mucking out, filling of haynets, bandages, feed, most daily activity’s.
I have been lucky enough to have my own horses since I was 5 and learnt a lot of experience looking after them every day.

My current work is working in front of house hospitality, in this job I have been trusted to work alone on the bar serving, locking up at night, dealing with the cash tills, doing big events such as wakes, weddings, et cetera.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am capable of working alone, however I do like working along side colleagues to grow together as a team.

I can turn out for high end shows, this includes handing a mix of horses from stallions to young horses.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

Being able to have my passion into a job, this being able to look after them and make them feel better when they are at their worst.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

Id like to gain more knowledge and experience in the veterinary side.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I am hardworking and willing. I am a quick learner and have a drive to learn to make my performance better.
