Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have worked with horses since I was young, in the UK and Dubai. I have a degree in Racehorse Performance and Rehabilitation, as well as currently completing the National Stud level 3 course. I can do all aspects of horse care, yard duties and first aid. I can handle all sorts of horses from foals to stallions and have done many foalings. I have worked in non-equine management roles as well.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am good at working alone or in a group setting. I can do all aspects of horse care, as well as plaiting, getting ready for shows, handling different types of young stock and mares, and being positive and dedicated to my work. I like to learn something new every day and bring a good attitude to work.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I have dedicated my whole career to them as I just love the animal, being able to work with them every day is a privilege.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my self-doubting, sometimes I am too critical on myself but I think it has shaped me to be better.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am a young and green person who is ready for any challenge, I am dedicated to the horse and to my career and would be a great member of the team, as I am adaptable, warm and looking to be part of a good group of people who share the same passion for horses as I do.
