Experience with Horses
I enjoy keeping up appearances. Horses and the yard need to be immaculate. So although your horse might be just going out for a hack they will be turned out show standard… you never know who you’ll meet around the corner!
I have had a managerial sole charge role for the past few years though this winter having worked as part of a team I have enjoyed having company and have seen the values of how a team can work together and use time efficiently.
I have had experience in handling stallions, riding sharp horses and going through the process of backing and breaking.
I have been noted to be competent experienced rider in the past though now I would say I would need some brushing up to increase my efficiciency on a horse.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
From experience in being in previous jobs the horses I look after really are my pride and joy. I love to see if I can make improvements and to watch greener horses come along.
- Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Every aspect of myself. There’ always something else to learn.
- Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Probably my experience.
Requirements
- What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I love and am used to having a sole charge role however I think now I am older I would like to see how I manage a yard with a team of grooms.
- Do you need accommodation?
It would depend on yard location. My husband has accommodation that comes with his job and we are based in Surrey. Somewhere further afar would need to offer separate accommodation ideally a cottage.
- Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No.
- Do you have any ongoing commitments?
No.
- Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No.
