Experience with Horses
In my freetime I go to the stables to help as a volunteer to clean the stables, muck out horses, feed them and to prepare the haynets.
I have experience of a competitive environment when competing in events at my local stable. and also when assisting friends in preparing the horse for the higher level, national competitions. I have been riding for 4 years in the discipline dressage and I really want to keep improving my riding.
Key Skills
Working alone but I like to work with others, non-equine skills as I like to have things organised, for example to have a list of things to do and also to make sure everything has been finished properly. I like good communication and languages are important for me. In addition to my Dutch mother tongue, I can speak English and French.
I have a numbers of years of customer service, I have honed my skills working in companies in Belgium and in the UK. I have experienced and learnt from different cultures.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
At the moment I am actively seeking to turn my passion for horses into a career. Ever since my first riding lesson I felt a special connection, a bond, and every ride since has put a smile on my face. I have an inner drive to share my love for horses with others and believe this would also come across in a working environment.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I’m ambitious and I would like to start my own stables in the future. I can do the work and deliver exceptional results because I have the knowledge about the horses. I’m willing to move for the right job.
