Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services.

I grew up on a stud farm, and as a child did all the pony club stuff jumping hunting etc, we specialised in Arabians  Anglos and show ponies which we showed all over the UK & Europe with  great success and think this where my love of turn out has been developed, also learning from a young age to ride stallions and handle broodmares foals and youngstock . I studied for my degree in stud and business management and also my AI. I had my own successful show and stud farm specialising in dressage horses for myself, and my partner and i produced inhand and ridden horses and ponies for our clients. we produced show ponies ,hunters ,hacks ,cobs, coloureds and M&Ms . Once they had finished there 3rd year in hand we would break them and bring them out as novices the following season. In between this the Warmbloods, including the great Grand Prix stallion Broadstone Westcountry   along with the other stallions we had standing, and a total of 16 broodmares. also in the winter i would compete the novice show horses and the dressage youngsters at Prelim and novice level dressage as part of there education. All our show horses and ponies were aimed at all the county shows to be qualified for there relevant championships shows which included NPS Hack & Cob RI and everyones favourite HOYS.  My greatest personal achievement was winning the Cuddy at HOYS in 2012 with my own mare Romanno Bedriska, i have been to HOYS many times but this one was extra special as it was one of my own horses rather than a clients, she returned to HOYS in 2015 as a large riding horse and again took home the ribbons. I am just as happy producing prepping and turing out for the show ring as i am to riding in the ring, nothing better than looking at one of your charges doing well at a high level competition.

What are you particularly good at?

working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, dealing with mares and foals, Covering , schooling, riding stallions, travelling, organisation.
