Experience with Horses
I have worked with horses for 6 years, but have owned them since I was 5 years old. I have worked in p2p, hunting, eventer and young horses. I am very capable with daily care and management of horses, feeding, exercising, clipping, trimming and handling young horses, those with injury and those coming out of injury.
Key Skills
Working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling/riding young horses, handling horses with injury and bringing on those coming out of injury time off. I am very good on a Computet and have a polite telephone manner. I’m also very good face to face with owners/trainers, always polite. I have recently completed my Law Degree, obtaining a 2.1
Strengths and Weaknesses
I use my own initiative and get things done without constant instructions. I’m very good working under pressure and can meet a deadline when needed. I always work to my full potential. I enjoy working on my own and within a team, I’m very good at giving and taking instructions, and making good relationships with other employees etc.
I am efficient with my work but always ensure the horse’s welfare comes first. I really enjoy ensuring I give horses the utmost respect and care that I can.
Requirements
I am now looking for a non-yard based role (office/admin work). I have just completed my law degree so I am hoping to be able to use this within the equestrian industry.
Remote (work from home) role or hybrid working would be advantageous
