I’ve spent the last 5 years working at West Kington Stud. I have experience handling all different kinds of horses from mares and foals, youngstock, fit competition horses and stallions. In the 5 years I’ve spent at West Kington I have gained invaluable experience, I am confident in managing daily routines of all horses, taking stallions down for collecting, collecting from stallions, processing semen, semen freezing and shipping. I am also a qualified AI technician.
Some more of my responsibilities at the stud include managing a team of staff and giving out clear instructions, keeping on top of all worming, farriery and feed orders as well as keeping in contact with owners and sending updates on their horses. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here but due to changes in the business forces my leave.
As well as my stud experience, I am able to plait and turn horses out to a high standard and is something I do enjoy when given the opportunity.
