• Experience with Horses

I have owned and competed since being a small child. I now have experience working at a 5* yard for two of the best event riders in the world. I’ve groomed at numerous competitions and can turn horses out to a high standard. I’ve prepared horses for eventing, showjumping , showing and I’ve turned out for hunting, so I can clip, trim up, plait etc. I can handle fit competition horses. I’ve helped others with difficult horses from knowledge I’ve picked up through my training, as well as riding multiple different horses for riders who are experiencing difficulties. Ive also competed BSJ , BE with my own horses and done very well. Experienced with riding up the gallops  so know how to do fitness work, I can lunge, longrein, break in horses and produce them, school, jump etc

 

 

Key SkillS 

i am able to work alone and under pressure, I’ve had experience of running a large competition yard one my own organising Saturday staff ,  as I am very organised and quick. I can plait, clip, turnout for competition. I also have a good eye for lameness and have recognised and dealt with colicing , worming and introducing new horses to the yard. So trotting them up for vetting , holding whilst they have blood taken and I’ve done worm counts for them. I have been involved with helping out at competitions and I am a competent rider.
I was also head girl at a sales livery Yard managing 21 horses with high turn over and staff for two years.

 

 

Strengths and Weaknesses

• I enjoy caring for the horses and doing general important yard duties. I also enjoy training and developing horses from nervy ones to green ones to horses that are advanced.

 

• I would love to improve all my skills as there is always room for improvement, as I’m dedicated to learn more and become better at everything I can do as well as learning new things that I haven’t seen or learned about before.  I would like to have more experience with different horses and different training methods.

 

• employers should employ me because I am very much dedicated and I love my job. I love learning new things and I think that with the right employer who will take advantage of my dedication and enthusiasm to improve and teach me,  I will go very far and will be the best member of staff I can be. I will be loyal and always try my hardest to do my best. I am most defiantly not afraid of hard work, I will do what it takes to do well in this industry.
