I have been riding on and off since I was 3, 25 now, and I have worked in a variety of yards and disciplines. From a private polo yard, to a TB stud, international showjumpers and dressage riders, hunters and a sales yard, as well as doing some work in a livery yard. I am also currently working as a part time freelance groom, mostly clipping and plaiting.
I am solely looking for a position within hunting. In a perfect world a family hunt yard, but will consider all other work within the hunting sphere. Unfortunately I am not interested(or able) to ride pointers, hurdlers etc.
I am an ok rider and I don’t mind a horse with a bit of fizz. I’m able to fitten and let down hunters, as well as maintain there fitness throughout the season. I am meticulous when it comes to both turnout and aftercare.
I’m of course able to manage nearly all aspects of turnout, clipping, plaiting, etc. Also able to lunge, ride and lead, long rein, apply basic first aid etc.
Currently living in the north of Ireland but will consider positions over the water if they suit. Obviously would need accommodation.
Unfortunately I cannot tow a trailer or drive a lorry but if you saw me driving a car you wouldn’t want to trust me with a lorry! I am however licensed to tow a trailer so I could manage that in the case of an emergency. Must do is a great master.
