Experience with Horses
I have been brought up with horses and have ridden all my life. My main interests are eventing and hunting and have groomed for a Master, covering day to day basic care, exercise regime, feeding and hunting prep.
I had a year at an equine veterinary practice where I assisted the vets in all aspects of care and medical procedures.
Key Skills
I believe I am good at gaining and maintaining the fitness levels of the horses for whichever discipline they participate in, this could also be the schooling of both established and young horses.
I am good at taking control of situations and working alone, using my own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I love working with young horses and seeing how far they progress. I also enjoy the fitness work needed to prepare the horses for a days hunting or x country.
I would like to use what I already know and the skills I have to improve on my ability to use different methods to achieve the same goal.
I believe an employer should chose me over another job seeker because I have a wide variety of skills, along with different types of experiences which would help me in the day to day running of a yard, for example my veterinary nursing experience.
Requirements
In my next job I would like to manage a team or run a yard of hunt or event horses.
Accommodation would be a bonus for myself, my child and partner.
I would also like to bring a horse and dog If possible, or have a yard close by.
