This job involved turning out livery horses to grazing and mucking out straw/ shavings and wood pellet bedding to a very high standard ready for bring in later in the day, filling hay nets to soak/ dampen and to be hung in stables, cleaning water buckets and feed buckets for hygiene of the horses, sweeping the yard and leaving immaculate. Also involved grooming/ washing horses when dirty From either being in the field or stable, cleaning tack after being ridden. Also we exercised livery horses either hacking or schooling.

This job involved managing two high gaol players ponies and also managing a yard of polo school ponies for clients. Managing high goal ponies involved feeding them breakfast, lunch and dinner, filling water buckets, haying and poo picking corrals/stables while exercising on walker, changing rugs, riding them on set three or four at a time, cleaning tack, packing lorry for matches, bathing horses to look immaculate, washing bandages, rolling bandages, tacking up, putting bandages on, plaiting tails, noting tails for chukkas, washing off, holding ponies to change, untacking, walking off, icing legs after chukka, in packing lorry, poo picking lorry’s, hand grazing.
Managing lesson ponies involved bringing in from field an hour before lessons to allow them to eat there feed, tacking and bandaging, introducing the client to the horse and mounting them, untacking, washing off, waiting to cool down before feeding agin, turning out, mucking out, putting lesson ponies on walker, haying fields, packing lorry for 11 horses for a hire match, unpacking lorry.

in this job I’m sole charge looking after 4 hunters and 3 young horses ready for education, in this job my roles include: feeding, mucking out, turn out, bring in, hay nets and loose hay, washing off, bathing, plaiting, pulling manes and tails, clipping, cleaning tack, exercising horses individually and together and going on a days hunting 2x a week.
