I’ve ridden horses most of my life and am currently interested in coming back to a full time job with horses.
I am currently freelance grooming but interested in finding a yard to settle on and have a full time job instead of freelancing. I had been out of working with horses full time for a number of years and instead managed pubs and restaurants! But I am now at a point in life where I don’t want to be working til 1am every night and am absolutely LOVING being back working on yards again! When I was working full time with horses previously I did a season working for Jane Holderness-Roddam on her competition yard and evented her horses up to BE Novice and I also did a year on a hunt yard who hunted with the Beaufort Hunt. I freelanced for a while too where I worked on a SJ yard for a while as well as exercising other horses for people.
I am hard working and a reliable worker and feel my skills and responsibilities in the pubs/restaurants have set me up to have a higher job role on a yard but that is also combined with being able to ride well and graft hard. I am organised, quick thinking and can use my initiative.
