Experience with Horses
I’ve worked at various different yards from rehab to livery and Riding school. I have teaching experience and have taught in a riding school for 4 years mainly children and beginner riders and escorting hacks. I have carried out all duties such as mucking out, grooming, riding, poo picking ect. I have owned my own horse who I had as a 4 year old. I’m used to working at busy yards and have good time management skills.
Key Skills
I like working alongside others but can work independently also. I enjoy all aspects of yard work such as mucking out, turning out ect. I enjoy riding but this is not essential as I like just being around the horses and doing ground work/ giving attention.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I enjoy all aspects of working with horses but mainly enjoy groundwork and yard duties. I also enjoy teaching
• I would like to gain confidence clipping as this isn’t something I’ve done and would also like to work on turning out horses to a high standard as I haven’t worked in a competition environment
• I am hard working, kind and caring and feel strongly about horse welfare. I have good references and time keeping skills.
Requirements
• I’m currently looking for full time work, I’d be happy in any type of yard from livery, riding school and sanctuary work
