I have been travelling head girl/ yard manger for a pair of Eventers based in Wiltshire. I have run there yard which as horse ranging from 2yr olds to several 5* horses. I have run the yard of up to 40 horses and have managed staff also. I have been to all the major competitions and championships including 3 x Olympic games , 2 x World Equestrian games and most of the 5* around the world. I have my HGV and have driven in the Uk and around Europe with the horses.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am good at running a yard from ordering feed, to liaising with Vets, Farriers and Physios. I have several years competition grooming. I Can drive an HGV truck, Clip, Plait, Lunge and do all yard duties.
I can work alone and use my own initiative and but I can also work as part of a team.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I like being on the ground and learning what each horse needs and wants. Working with them and seeing how they progress up the grades. Being with them most days you get to know each horses personality and you can makes bonds with them.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Im not a very confident rider but happy to go hacking
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am a very competent yard manager and have successfully ran an event yard for the last 8 years. I can work alone or can work as part of a team. I use my own initiative to figure out what needs doing and completing the jobs well and working efficiently. I am a good communicator but also can follow instructions.
Requirements

Id like to be able to run a smaller yard and a slightly quieter life then a busy eventing yard.

I have a cocker spaniel who is a yard dog and very good with other dogs and around horses.
