I’ve had experience working with horses for over 11 years, I followed my passion and graduated college in Cambridge with an Extended National Diploma in Equine Management and then followed to study for a degree in FdSc in Equine Performance with Business. My involvement with horses has been broad, and I had worked with a wide range of sports horses, riding school horses, and RDA horses which all fell into a large range of ages, breeds, and capabilities.
Key Skills
I am excellent at working under pressure, in a time frame to a high and acceptable standard, and paying extreme detail to ensure the welfare of horses and riders, myself, and the yard. I am quick and efficient in mucking out and general management duties. I have sparse knowledge of many fields in the industry and I am looking to expand this knowledge and progress further.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I have always enjoyed the physical demands of taking care of horses. I’ve always accepted it’s not a pretty or easy job, and I really appreciate that. I keeps me physically fit and my mind sharp.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I want to improve my riding and practical knowledge of horses. I have a FdSc Degree in Equine Performance and would love to apply my knowledge to the field and further expand into the industry and explore my options.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am an easygoing person. I will do as I have to, suggest if I need to, and lead if it’s required. I enjoy working with horses and I understand the struggles and benefits of the field.
I’m extremely clean and enjoy presentations, I’m sufficient and quick in getting tasks done and I tend to get on with it.
I work great alone and with a team and I enjoy people’s company as much as I do horses.
