About the Role:
We are looking to recruit a compassionate and enthusiastic Veterinary Nursing Assistant to support our experienced veterinary surgeons and nursing team in all aspects of equine care. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in a busy, supportive environment with a strong focus on clinical excellence and animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting vets and nurses with routine and emergency procedures
- Assisting with Lameness work ups to include; trotting up, lunging and procedure preparation
- Providing daily care and handling of inpatients
- Carrying out general yard duties, including mucking out, feeding and grooming
- Preparing and maintaining equipment and clinical areas
- Supporting with administrative duties and client communication
- Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and infection control
About You:
- Experience in the equine industry
- Confident handling a variety of horses including stallions, foals, and youngstock
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and teamwork
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Previous experience in a veterinary environment is desirable but not essential
