I have owned horses for 30+ years and have competed at County and National level showing. I have retrained my Ex Racehorse and have competed in unaffiliated Dressage events with him. I started riding when I was 4 years old. I also enjoy ground work and join up techniques and free schooling my now retired Geldings. I enjoy creating a trusting and respectful bond with my horses. I am 51 years old now and want to work with horses before it’s too late. I have a DBS check and have recently been awarded my SIA licence.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I enjoy working as a team, but equally can be relied upon to take sole charge. I have experience of show preparation and turnout, Equine First Aid, handling young and untouched horses. I have also experience of foal watch and handling youngsters.

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I have always loved being in the presence of horses, for me this is therapeutic and my stress relief. They bring out the best in me – unlimited patience, learning from them and being able to create a bond.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Yes, I would like to work full time with horse and expand my knowledge.

I am mature, responsible and trustworthy with life long experience of working with horses. I can be relied upon to carry out my duties to the best of my abilities without supervision and can identify what needs to be done and get it done. I have bags of common sense and life experience. I am patient, kind, quiet and loving with all animals.
