Experience with Horses
Have worked on top dressage yards since the age of 14- once shown the routine can take sole charge. Can plait, turn in and out, tack up, feed and lunge. Can ride but due to a fall in the past can only ride safe/sane horses.
Owned my own freelancing business, taking sole care of horses whilst owners away, and helping to house sit as well. Travelled internationally to shows and clinics.
Key Skills
Can plait, feed, lunge, groom, turn in and out, muck out and drive a tractor capably. Can ride safe/sane horses- but slightly out of practice
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I enjoy the satisfaction after a good day, to see the horses happy, healthy and well cared for.
• I’d like to improve my ability to trust myself more, by having more responsibilities, and enjoying the fact I am capable. To also have a lovely work environment/work life balance
• I’m trustworthy, capable, kind and sympathetic. I love a chit chat, and have a good sense of humour. I’m compassionate and honest. And will own up to mistakes, to help make sure they don’t happen again.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I’d like to gain more experience, fall back in love with the industry and start to adore my job again. And to make new friends!
• Do you need accommodation?
Yes for myself, and possibly a dog.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No horse, but possibility for a small dog, maybe.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
I run my own livestock freelancing business on the side, when I’m needed/free. However full time jobs come first.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No.
