Experience with Horses
Ridden for over 12 years and owned horses for 9. I have experience working on livery yards, teaching adults and children of all abilities, and working as a trek leader taking sole charge of large rides of mixed abilities. I am currently studying for a degree in Equine Performance at Hartpury which I am finding fascinating.
Key Skills
I’m calm and patient around young horses and confident in handling them. I’m happy to work with ‘difficult’ horses with various behavioural issues and don’t feel stressed or pressured in tricky situations. I also communicate well with children, including those with physical and mental disabilities. I particularly enjoy working with children on the autistic spectrum. I am patient with children of all different personalities and know how to maintain a safe and friendly environment for them.
