I have groomed for showjumpers both internationally and nationally. I have competed myself up to newcomer level but have focused more on producing/breaking young horses. I have been running my own little business for the past couple years and have a few liveries on at a time for breaking as well as doing freelance riding/yard cover/clipping.
Key Skills
I thrive from being a sole groom however also equally thoroughly enjoy working as part of a team! I turn out to a very high standard as i’m a bit of a perfectionist! I’m a kind, quiet and patient rider and handler. I always have time to give the horses some extra attention/cuddles!
Strengths and Weaknesses
• My favourite thing about working with horses is watching them succeed and grow from strength to strength. I love being a part of their individual story.
• My biggest flaw, is sometimes being too over invested! I sometimes find it hard to switch off however that can sometimes also be a strength!
• Employers should consider me because I can promise to give them and the horses my all. I’m an extremely hard worker and will do anything for the horses I care for and the people I work for!
Requirements
• If not based near Northampton, I would need accommodation.
• I have 2 quiet, and very well behaved dogs. They’re friendly with people and all animals!
I also have 2 horses in work and 1 yearling, however if it isn’t possible for them to be on the yard I work, I’d be happy to find somewhere local for them to stay on livery.
