Experience with Horses
I have over 30 years experience with ponies, hunting, point to point and thoroughbred horses. I am BHS Silver qualified in Handling your horse, Knowing your horse, Caring for your Horse, Lungeing your horse. I am currently studying Equine Anatomy, Physiology and Biology. I am familiar with Stud work and the production of foals and yearlings for sale.
Key Skills
I am particularly good at ponies and children and teaching children the importance of horsemanship. I have a passion for preparing and working with very young horses to building their confidence. I really enjoy working as part of a team. I no longer ride but I am excellent on the ground and I can turn my hand to many things.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I most enjoy being able to bring a project to fruition. I have good interpersonal skills and I really enjoy helping to develop inexperienced or young horses and riders. I enjoy the job of caring for horses, exercising them and producing them with a particular project in mind. I have weaknesses but try to improve on them continually. I try to achieve perfection wherever I can but I can expect too much at times.
• I am a very committed and loyal employee, I only want the best for the employer that I am invested in and in turn for myself. I am very grounded, I am flexible and I have maturity on my side which helps when prioritising situations and events. I am a skilled cook and gardener, I have good organisational skills , I love children and young people and I am proficient in IT and administration. I hold a full clean driving license and can drive both manual and automatic cars.
