Experience with Horses
I have little to no experience with horses, but I am very excited at the prospect of gaining experience in this field. I have worked in hospitality and on fishing boats for the past 8 years and am looking for a change of pace. I have always been interested in farm work and horses, and finally decided to pursue a job within the field.
Key Skills
I pride myself in being a quick learner, and once I learn how to do something I am determined to be good at it. Throughout my years on the fishing boats and various bars, I have learned the importance of hard work through teamwork, but I also have learned to push myself when working alone to accomplish tasks. I am very goal-oriented and know if given the chance I would thrive in a farm/yard environment.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I have ridden horses a handful of times in my life and think they are fascinating. I’m sure I would enjoy every aspect of working with them.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Despite my lack of knowledge when it comes to horses, I still believe due to my strong work ethic I could be a great asset on any farm. I am a super determined individual and I know I could be great at this job.
