Experience with Horses
I’ve been riding horses since 2014, and throught these ten years I have gained a ton of both theoritical and practical knowledge. I have competed in low level show-jumping on a horse I leased for 2 years, attended many clinins with respected polish professionals like Dr. Skorupski or Dr. Komosa, did my fair share of mucking out, helping with veterinary care and rode many different type of horses. For the past year I’ve been helping my trainer by being a groom at competitions, riding her 2 horses when she is absent and helping with day to day care. I can provide a recommendation letter from her.
Key Skills
I am very organized and neat, I try to make sure everything I do is to the best level, and I’m never late. Besides obviously knowing how to do things like mucking out, cleaning tack, grooming and leading horses to ensure both me and them are safe, I have a lot of experience lunging and riding even green horses (that is to say, I’ve never produced any horse from ground up). While grooming at shows, I’m really good with pressure and have no problem doing things as well as I usually do.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I belive it’s important to say – I can’t do everything. The thing that I appreciate about working with horses the most is how much they teach us, and that they give constant feedback as to how good of a job I’m doing. Being an equestrian is about constantly learning, improving yourself, which I am very happy to do for as long as I’m able.
Requirements
I am moving to the ROI for university, and therefore I’m looking for a summer job – from June to September; if the job is close to my university of choice I might be able to work for longer. My requirements are:
