Experience with Horses
I have grown up around horses thefore have learnt that responsibility from a young age. I understand the dedication and work ethic that is involved within this industry. I have work experience on an olympic event yard, commercial show jumping and sales yard and racing/ Pre Training Yard. I currently have my own ex race horse with whom I bSJA. I have practical experience on yards handling young stock to elite horses. I have also piratical office administration skills with in the pre training of flat race horses.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? I enjoy working as part of a team, I know that within the equine industry team work is extremely important however I can work independently when needed. I have practical experience with Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams and spreadsheet. I do thrive off communication and enjoying being customer facing. I have experience in marketing and social media and would be looking to expand those skills.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? Team work. I enjoy the dedication and responsibility involved with getting riders/horses to their desired level. The passion and understanding between a horse and those involved with that horse day in day out. I enjoy communication with others and delivering a service and looking to improve constantly.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve? I would like to use my placement year as an opportunity to expand my portfolio and improve myself now for potential employers after University.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? I am extremely comitted. I understand that in this fast pace industry no day could be the same. I understand the pressure involved when working to high levels of competition. I believe that horse welfare is always paramount to anything else and will continue to work to high standards. I know that a job needs to be done correctly to the employers standard and satisfaction.

• Do you need accommodation? Depends of where job is located. I am based in Suffolk.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you? It would be a dream to continue my ex race horse while working, however I understand the responsibility and requirements needed for this industry.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments? I will be returning back to University in September 2025 for my 3rd/ final year at Hartpury based in Gloucestershire.
