I am Siets, 49 years old Dutch woman who is looking to find a nice place to work with horses in a respectful and open-minded way. I have strong organisational skills; I am a strong team player; I am creative and can think, switch and initiate ‘out of the box’. I am a self-starter: ‘making things happen’ is my drive and what makes me happy. I am ready to take the next step in my life and would be happy to tell you more in a personal conversation.
Have a lovely day! 🙂
Experience with Horses
Horses have been an important part of my life. From a teenage girl at a riding school to riding competitively in my spare time in my early twenties to rescuing 2 beautiful Arabian horses in my thirties and having them living at home has been such a beautiful experience and a steep learning curve! For the past few years, I have been a working student in Germany in the winter (10 weeks) to keep polishing my skills and expanding my knowledge. The work is demanding and the rewards are all worth it.
I have experience handling youngsters and stallions, I can manage stable duties, I am confident and organised, good at managing a team or making week planning for duties that need taking care of. I am a fit and slim person and I ride well with soft hands and a good independent seat. Now in my late forties, it is wonderful to see how I have grown in my riding skills, my ability to handle horses, deal with their challenges and always aim for a positive outcome.
Key Skills
I am a very organised and independent person with a professional background in marketing, sales and running my own business. I love barns and tack rooms that are clean, organised and where things are in place 😉 I work well in an organised environment.
I love working in a team, I am a natural leader so feel comfortable managing a team as well and I am also perfectly happy and capable of working alone.
As for my equine skills, I am good at all things horse-related. For training: my preference is a combination of riding and groundwork, always keeping the capabilities of the horse in mind.
I am fit, strong and slim.
