My name is Evie Robson and I have grown up in Scotland with a love for horses. I was first introduced to horses at the age of 5, started lessons at the age of 8. I loaned school horses on and off from the age of 10. When I was 13, I full loaned my first horse, Raven. At 14, I part loaned my second horse blu. Upsettingly I had to part ways with blu as I moved back to live here in England. I consider myself to be honest and hard working, I am enthusiastic, caring and a compassionate person. I would love to go into this field of work, as I would love to care for horses as they have helped me in so many ways. I am willing to put in the hard work and dedication to help me achieve my aspirations that I have always wanted to achieve. I am currently looking for employment in the equestrian field. I would really appreciate to be given the chance to work as apart of your team.
Skills and abilities
I am a confident and competent rider and have loads of knowledge of exercising horses.
I know how to do all stable and yard duties cleanly, efficiently and in a timely manner.
I am confident in the care for horses, grooming, cleaning, feeding, medical care and I also have great attention to detail when it comes to the horse’s health and behaviors.
I can work well within a team environment and following instructions that are required of me but can also work independently, using my own initiative when needed.
I can adapt easily and quickly to each different setting, including the individual horses needs.
Experience
I have 8 years of experience with horses. I have volunteered and worked in different settings. I have worked with a variety of horses, from old to youngsters. School masters and green horses, racers to cobs, including their behaviors. I have experience in turning out and bringing in horses from the field. I also have a basic knowledge of a horse’s anatomy. I’ve had experience within veterinary care when required. I am knowledgeable in preparing a horse for shows, I have done eventing and showing, attending and competing in several unaffiliated competitions
