Experience with Horses
- 10+ years experience in various equestrian environments (riding schools, private horse farms / pension stables, horse sharing). Duties included:
- feeding horses
- mucking out stables and paddocks
- monitoring feed / hay & straw stocks & ordering new supply
- turning horses out / in
- brushing horses & tacking them up for exercise or riding lessons / taking care of them after exercise
- monitoring health condition of horses
- treating minor wounds / applying therapy as advised by vet
- assisting vets and farriers
- riding & lunging horses / working horses in round pen
- 6 years English / classic riding lessons, 20+ years leisure & trail riding, first experience with groundwork
- handled different breeds from thoroughbred and arabians to Hanoverians, Trakehners and Apaloosas etc.
