Experience with Horses

Hello,

I have no previous PROFESSIONAL experience working in a yard or else.

However, I grew up in the field, from age 3 to 16, I have passed my 5 Galop degrees, so I would say I definitely have a strong interest and basic knowledge of the horse and the practises around it.

I am acquainted with its various disciplines and am keen on learning as much as one would be willing to teach me.

 

 

Key Skills

I am in physical good shape, and can carry heavy, have stamina and endurance. I work well alone but also as part of a team shall the lead be well organized.

I have good intuition but also strong initiative.

Regarding the technical skills I have done in the past some preparation for events (braiding, plating) but would for sure need a reminder. I can take care of the material, do the leather.

 

 

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

I enjoy the outdoors, the feeling when riding but also the smell. Whether it be the smell of the horse itself or the equipment (leather). To be honest, I just like the comfort they bring me.  It’s not just a job for me, but a genuine passion. Also, this is a very physical work and it fits well with my personality, I like being active and move my body.

I have been working in the service industry for now 10 years. I love service all together. I just now wish to put my service towards something else.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I am eager to improve my overall knowledge of the equestrian world and am very keen to learn about any skills useful to my duty. I am open to learning new techniques and methods to become the best groom possible.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I’d like to be considered to be given a chance to be doing something good. Something useful. I am well presented but also very keen to excel in the field.

As a butler, I am known to be trustworthy, reliable and responsible. I have been asked to look after houses as wells as dogs and other pets the principal would have. So I can be trusted to take care of their animals and perform my duties diligently.

As well as being physically fit, I am quite positive, enthusiastic and optimistic, which I hope would help within a team and the required skills for the duty.

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?

I’d like to learn – whether it be about horses or any other topic I could gain knowledge over. I am not afraid of trying new things. I wish to find some purpose in my duty. Be useful.

Ideally, yes.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?

No – no pets with me.

• Do you have any ongoing commitments?

No – I am fully available and flexible.

• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?

I have a French holiday coming up this month (23/04/24 – 30/04/24)
