Experience with Horses
I am happy to be working within an environment around horses. I am looking forward to opportunities to ride, however I am more that happy to work in a role where there is no riding involved. I have worked and volunteered at riding schools as well as trekking yards. Predominantly my work with shows and events have been volunteering as a groom or taking part in Hunts.
Key Skills
I work well alone and with others. I have been around horses and children for a number of years, therefore as you can imagine I have an infinite amount of patience. In addition to my horsemanship skills, I am a bit of a ‘jack of all trades’ therefore I am familiar with most farm vehicle equipment and adept in estate management (to a degree) as well as having a good knowledge of woodwork and diy. As we know however ‘jack of all trades, master of none’ just to manage your expectations.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I find working with horses incredibly rewarding, it does not matter what I am working on there is nothing better than working in tandem with a horse and understanding each other. I feel most at home outside (come rain or shine) and enjoy the physicality of the job. I have always been an incredibly active person and feel this comes hand in hand with the industry.

I think there is always more to learn and I am open to whatever the experiences of my next job teach me.
