Experience with Horses
- I have worked at trekking centers and ranches in Portugal and Mexico, over the last 4 years. Gaining valuable experience in diverse equine environments.
Furthermore, my equestrian journey spans 15 years in England, where I initially learnt how to ride. I
have a diverse range of equine experience, having worked with stallions, young horses, and old horses. I am fast at mucking out and maintaining a tidy yard. My strong people skills have been honed through working with clients. I am also adept at leading rides and giving lessons, and I have extensive experience riding English style, including dressage, trekking, cross-country, and jumping.
Key Skills
I possess extensive experience riding a variety of horses, including green and young ones. Previously, I assisted individuals with challenging horses and currently, I am initiating the training of horses at the ranch where I am employed. Additionally, I am well-versed in both flatwork and jumping.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy the sense of purpose it gives me. I get to work outside with my hands, I build routine and structure for my life. I’m healthy and alongside all of this I’m working with these strong majestic creatures.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my knowledge of medical care for horses.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Employers should consider me above all because I bring more to the table than just horsing around—I bring a whole stable of skills. With my knack for natural horsemanship, my ability to jump hurdles (both literal and metaphorical), and my dedication to providing top-notch care for our four legged friends.
