Experience with Horses
My Experience of over 10 years has included, but is not limited to, care of horses and ponies of all ages at a riding school and a livery yard attached to a Private School with an Equestrian department.
Both these yards required all usual yard duties. At the riding school I am currently managing, I coach all levels of riding ability to children and adults.
As part of my role at the riding school I have kept the school horses of all levels and abilities schooled and exercised. I have also escorted hacks on foot, riding and leading and ridden.
At the livery yard I helped with show preparation for the horses of students to compete most weeks. I would also accompany them as a groom to some shows.
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
Key Skills
I am happy to work alone as sole charge or with others as part of a team.
I can clip (not to a professional standard), plait and turn out for shows.
I liaise with vets, farriers and other equine practitioners
I manage care plans and administration of medical requirements for sick or injured horses and ponies of all ages.
I apply my administrative skills to complete necessary documentation for the local council for licensing of the riding school.
I develop the riding school website and social media platforms.
I help organise and run Pony Club center activities.
