Experience with Horses
Over 20 years with riding and my own horses. Having competition horses, projects to producing young stock (from weaning) to retraining race horse. Attended Hartpury college as a 16 year old.
Experience on eventing yards, dressage yards, private yards, showjumping yards. Worked with stallions, young stock and sharp competition horses.
I left community nurses about a year ago to pursue my freelance career. I tailor the way I work and the care to your needs and expectations. Attention to detail and 5* care treating every horse as though they are my own is a guarantee.

I work alone and as part of a team either slowing into a team or taking more leadership positions. When doing holiday cover I regularly up date owners for peace of mind whilst away.

Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I throughly enjoy watching young horses learn and grow throughout their career and find this very rewarding, being able too be part of the building blocks to support them and their riders future career together.
Meeting new people and forever learning as the industry expands and knowledge base grows.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
My experience as a show groom. I have so far not had many chances to groom at competitions and would really like to gain more experience in this field.
I am also not very skilled at clipping, but all other turnout I am very good at.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am reliable and professional. Mould well into any team of lone home groom position.

• Do you need accommodation?
No accommodation needed, I have my own home and have had to turn down jobs due to wanting staff to live on site and I just can’t offer this.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No special requirements, I do like to take my dog to work with me but happy to be flexible with this if needed.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
My diary is very flexible, please contact for further information.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No holidays booked. I do like the occasional weekend off and quite like a varied rota just so I can see my partner occasionally and take my own horse out.
