Experience with Horses
My experience with horses has been amazing. I have learned a lot about them, what they like and what they don’t like. I have taught horses things they have helped them competitively as well as mentally to help them be calm. I have techniques of helping them be flexible, stretching them to release tension in their body that I have learned through a person who does the ETT, Equine Transvera Technique. My services are always promising and always to the best standard and requirements that a person needs to be. I am looking for an equine based yard to go to and do things.
Key Skills
I am good at exercising horses so that they can stretch, show their potential in what they can so. If it is showjumping or Eventing or any discipline that they may go in to. I am good in working with a group. I have a good sense of communication skills, and I am a team player. I have experience in working with younger horses, the youngest horse I have worked with was 3 years old. She was a Thoroughbred filly that I worked with for 3 years and managed to get her to jump 1.2m and she is now starting to take her competitive career. I also like taking horses into their paddocks and stables so that I can groom them.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy the feeling that a horse can give a person. The feeling of being free also to make a bond with an animal that is so large. The fact that they can teach us things and that we can teach them things as well.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve on my riding. There is always room for improvement.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I think that they should pick me because I am a quick learner. I am very passionate about what I do. I have a very soft spot for horses since I was a child. I always find horses fascinating and majestic animals. I like teaching horses what I can do to make them the best that they can be, so their owners are happy with what they have learnt. I have taught a horse that couldn’t stretch or handle contact to the best flowing movement in a matter of 2 months which I think is good.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I would like to work ride horses for people and get them to the potential that they can get to. I also would like to learn different techniques and exercises for not only the rider but for the equine as well.
• Do you need accommodation?
I would need accommodation if it were possible.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
I have no animals that I would like to bring with.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
I have no ongoing commitments.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No, I do not have any holidays that a potential employer should know about.
