I’ve been passionate about horses since the age of five when I was bought my first pony (a naughty Shetland who taught me a lot about horses and definitely how to ride.
I was educated at St Nicholas School in Fleet, Hampshire where I got O’levels in English Language, English Literature, Geography, Biology and a few CSE’s.
I was always sporty representing my school and Pony Club in competitions, show jumping and eventing teams and was placed at Hickstead.
When I left school, it was quite clear that I wanted to work with horses as my career and as well as having my own competition horses I set out schooling and completing for other people being very successful .
I have also worked on a stud producing youngsters for the elite sales and also caring for the mares and foals. I then ran my own business yards and had great clients that I looked after and competed for and have the social skills and professionalism to have made a great success of it. I have good knowledge of equine care and first aid.
I have all the horse requirements for training, long reining, teaching, clipping etc, horsebox driver and sole charge expertise .
I am happy to be part of a team or to be in sole charge of a yard.
I come with good references from professional clients and I am honest and reliable.
Teaching
I have taught many riders ranging from adult clients to young riders 10 years plus and many have gone from complete novices to competing in affiliated eventing, showjumping and dressage.
I really love the teaching part of the job as I find it very rewarding to see good results references can be obtained for this as well.

I have been working with horses for over 50 years, I have experience of anything from riding, grooming, driving horse box, teaching, show groom, clipping, plaiting. General yard duties. Happy to be sole charge or work as part of a team.

My skill base is broad and over the years I have dealt with all aspects of the care and riding of horses. Managing them for others and my own.

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I enjoy most aspects of working with horses. It can be a hard, however after 50 years there is not much that would phase me.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I always want to work with horses and consider each job an as a chance to experience to learn more from them.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I feel I should be considered for my years of experience, my vast knowledge gained over that time. My adapabitlity and willingness to muck in to get the job done. I have managed yards previously which involves working with clients, and suppliers to help everything to run smoothly. I am confident driving a horse lorry and caring for horses away from the yard.

I would be bringing a horse and a dog. Tigger is good around horses and the stable having been brought up there.
