Experience with Horses
Worked as Yard Staff at a riding school in London for 4+ years. Responsible for the care of 30 horses, as well as young riders and volunteers. Carried out all usual yard duties, and experienced helping when backing youngsters, and plenty of riding. Worked at Catherston Stud May-July 2024 (had to finish early due to personal circumstances). Handled stallions, fit competition horses, youngstock, mares and foals. All usual yard duties, including hacking and lunging the horses. I am currently at ARU Writtle university studying BSc (Hons) Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.
Key Skills
Handling a wide range of horses, all usual yard jobs, plaiting and clipping, although I have not had experience turning out to a high / competition standard so I would like to improve these.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love working outdoors, and of course with the horses in general. I complete all jobs to a high standard to ensure all horses in my care are happy and comfortable. I am honest, hardworking and trustworthy, but know how to have a laugh and have fun!
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
My turning out skills as I have not had the opportunity yet. Also to learn more about different disciplines as I have only experienced a riding school and dressage settings.

I am hardworking and always complete any jobs to the highest standard I can. I am always willing to learn, especially as this will help me in the future!
