Experience with Horses
I have worked with a variety of horses from polo ponies to dressage horses. I worked in a trekking centre in wales for a summer just to fill a gap before I went to work full time in a polo yard.
Key Skills
I am good at working alone or in a team. I’m happy under stressful and fast paced environments. I would say I’m skilled at mucking out, being on a polo yard means a lot of stables to muck out I am efficient with my work. I can also plait, bath, groom, tack up to a high standard.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Horses are so forgiving for any mistake you do make. I find that even if it’s the little successes it really does make me emotional to see them achieving things.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
My plaiting time.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I treat the horses as my own and put their needs above all else. I ensure they have the best possible care I can give them. I work well with people and mesh really well into a team.
