Future Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
In my next role, I aim to apply my 15 years of equestrian experience—particularly my background in Show Jumping—to help develop and school high-quality racehorses. I want to contribute to a professional team where precision, horse welfare, and discipline are top priorities.
Beyond riding, I am looking to gain deeper insights into the strategic side of racing operations and stable management within a successful UK yard. My goal is to grow into a long-term, key team member who helps the stable achieve more winners through consistent, high-standard horse care and preparation.
• Do you need accommodation?
Yes, please. As I will be relocating to join the team, on-site or arranged accommodation is essential.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No. I will not be bringing any animals with me.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
No ongoing commitments that would interfere with a full-time schedule and early morning starts.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No, I have no holidays booked and am ready to start as soon as required.
Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I offer 15 years of extensive experience in Show Jumping, which has provided me with a deep understanding of equine biomechanics, balance, and precision. Since 2022, I have transitioned into professional yard management and racehorse care, focusing on daily exercise, grooming, and the welfare of Thoroughbreds. My background allows me to be a ‘soft’ but firm rider, capable of schooling sensitive horses and ensuring they are fit and responsive. I have a Level 1 Certificate in Equestrianism and am highly experienced in all aspects of daily yard routines.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
-
Riding & Schooling: Exceptional balance and coordination from a show jumping background; highly effective in schooling young or sensitive horses.
-
Horse Welfare: Expert in daily grooming, injury prevention, and monitoring horse health.
-
Discipline: Strong work ethic, reliable in working alone or as part of a team, and comfortable with early morning shifts.
-
Tech & Visuals: Proficient in using digital tools for yard reporting and a professional eye for horse photography/presentation.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The process of building trust with a horse. I find it incredibly rewarding to see a horse progress in its training and fitness through consistent, patient work.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I am always looking to refine my knowledge of specific British racing protocols and tactics to align my international experience perfectly with local standards.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Employers should consider me because I bring a unique blend of 15 years of technical riding discipline (Show Jumping) and modern racehorse care experience. I am not just looking for a job; I am looking to be a long-term asset to a stable that values precision, reliability, and high standards of horse welfare. My maturity, extensive background, and dedication to the sport set me apart.
