Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have over a decades of experience working within the equine industry with a mixture of employed and self employed roles. Including setting up and running a successful livery yard of 40 horses, dealing with clients and resolving any issues respectfully and in a timely manner. I have work alongside vets and other professionals to provide the best care for both horse and clients.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I’m a highly motivated individual who can work alone or within a team taking a leading role or supporting role. I’m experienced in managing a schedule and I’m able to organise my day to allow me to be the most efficient. I have client facing experience and have dealt with many clients and resolved all issues with the clients interests as a priority. I have experience in all equine disciplines and have a well rounded knowledge of medical treatments, horses skeletal systems as well as their respiratory and digestive tracts.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love being a part of problem solving and seeing clients and horses happy and thriving.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Within the equine industry I feel I’m well rounded and experienced. I would love to move away from the manual side of the industry and develop my skills in a more office based environment.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am committed and determined. I am passionate about making this move in the industry and strive to do the best within the chosen work place. I am very empathetic and like to resolve all issues with sensitivity and understanding.
