Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have lots of experience with race horses/injured horses. I also worked on a livery yard which had stallions along with other breeds of horses! I have also just been around horses all of my life!
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I really enjoy working as a team or alone, I love grooming, getting the yard tidy and exercising the horses. Feom
cabin crew I gained my certification in first aid along with learning time management and all things security and how to keep everyone safe!
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I most enjoy getting to the yard early and getting jobs done before everyone arrives, it may seem silly but I just love when I can make someone else’s day that little bit less stressful! I even make them a coffee for when they get in!
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d love to start riding again and really get back into it as I had a confidence knock and left to do cabin crew so I really want to knuckle down and get right back into it!
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I believe the safety and comfort of us and the horses is the top priority not just wanting to cut corners just to go, I personally believe everyone in the equine industry needs a groom they can trust and rely on when things get tough I know I am great under pressure due to my experience with horses and how unpredictable they can be and working as cabin crew is an extremely pressured job.
I am looking to make your life easier!
