Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have been a head groom/rider at Kington Langley Stud, in this position, I helped back horses, keep them fit, and the general care of horses including organising which horses needed the farrier at the times they were out, any vet visits etc.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I can handle young/fit horses, stallions are no issue for me either, I can work both alone and with others equally. I have no issue backing youngsters, retraining or generally keeping horses fit.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
My general passion for horses means I enjoy most part of working with them.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Generally my practice with horses, I feel like everyone can improve one way or another when learning from others.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I enjoy my work with horses, I like to get stuck in and can be left alone fine, equally, I can work with people just as well.
