Experience with Horses

I have worked with horses most of my life. I have worked as a stable hand in different forms of stables. I have worked at a riding school and a breeding facility as well as an equine hospital. I know how to handle all different kind of horses including stallions, broad mares and foals. I always value to welfare of the horses and will always put them first.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I am good at teamwork as well as taking own initiative and I’m confident working alone as well. I know how to ride and handle young horses, hot horses and scared/nervous horses. I know how to do equine first aid, mucking, grooming, bandaging, riding, turnout, feeding etc.

I am also very good at leading group activities both for adults and kids. I thrive in being the leader and taking charge when needed.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

What I most enjoy about working with horses is the unique bond and trust that develops between horse and handler. I find it very rewarding to work with such intelligent and sensitive animals, where patience, communication, and understanding are essential. I also enjoy the variety that comes with working with horses—every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn. Being able to contribute to their wellbeing and care while continuing to develop my skills is something I find both motivating and fulfilling.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I want to improve and expand all my knowledge, I believe that you are never fully educated and that there is always new things to learn. I want to improve my riding skills with even more different types of horses.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

I believe I will be a valuable addition to them. I will provide a high quality level of work with the horses and the main focus. I am very flexible and easy to work with and always aim to make sure everyone in the team are feeling good.
