I have grown up around horses as my aunt always owned them, and started riding lessons at 4. For my first year of work experience at college I worked at the riding school I was taking lessons at, mucking out and helping with daily maintenance on the yard. On the daily I ride my aunts horses and muck out and turn out when she is unavailable. In 2023 after my GCSE’s I helped out with the horses in the field behind my house, this included working with stallions and foals, feeding, turning in /turning out, experience in this field is limited though.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I prefer working with a team however I can work on my own. I do not have that much experience clipping I have done it once on a horse and twice on our family dog and I have never done show plaits for shows only general plaits on the cob at my aunts.

I like the fact that each horse has their own personality, strengths and weaknesses like how humans do.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my confidence when trying new things.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I have experience working with horses however there is room for improvement for the employer to train me how they want. I have good time management making me reliable.
