Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have worked at top level showing competition yards aswell as worked with stallions, mares and foals. I went to college and completed my bhs stage 2 care, lunge and ride aswell as my bhs level 2 care, lunge and ride and I have also completed my bhs riding out safety course which I have certificates for all of these qualifications. I also have competed to a high level which includes riding at hoys and rihs multiple times on my own pony. And have competed on other peoples ponies aswell.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I have good interpersonal skills and am used to working alone aswell as working within a team to accomplish tasks that need doing. I have a little bit of experience with clipping but would like to gain some more experience. I have experience of riding young horses and bringing them on and giving them the confidence to succeed.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I find it incredibly rewarding to see their progress, build their confidence and create a bond with each horse individually and enjoying each of there individual personalities.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to further work on my plaiting and clipping so that I am stronger in both those areas.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I believe employers should consider me above other candidates because I have strong attention to detail, use my initiative and common sense to solve problems, and work well as part of a team. I’m reliable, willing to learn, and always aim to complete every task to a high standard while maintaining a positive attitude.
