Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

From a young age I have ridden horses  at  horse riding school centres and built my confidence whilst doing so. I have  worked/ volunteering on farms for eleven years and I have gained a vast experience with large animals; with regards to horses I have experience within equine maintenance, herding sheep with horses and teaching others how to ride.

Within my HND course I learnt to bandage legs, dress wounds , and to recognise signs of ill health within horses.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?

How intelligent and empathetic they can be as well as how different their personalitys can be from one another.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I feel there is always room for improvement, so any and all further experience with animals would be welcomed.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

Because I am at the start of my career and want to learn everything I can . I am hardworking, capable, focused, calm around animals, strong and resilient.

I’ve been working with Large animals for many years now and want to have a job and career within this area.

I have just completed my Rural Animal Health HND with Distinction and want to have a job where I am using the skills I’ve learnt. I know I still have a lot to learn but I am really eager to gain more knowledge especially with horses .
